MAY 2025 NEWSLETTER

British Racing Map New artwork Upcoming Events

Hi and thanks for reading Newsletter number 5 which should have been done a couple of months ago but then I do always say to customers, “we won’t bombard you with emails!”

I’ve also been waiting for Ben to finish his latest big sporty piece – “British Racing Scene” (hope you appreciate the play on “green”!). It seems to take him forever to do the big ones so he generally saves them until the winter when we are a bit less busy. British Racing Scene features 11 racetracks across Britain and we hope it will appeal to the petrolheads out there who aren’t just after Formula 1 based pictures.  (Having said that he has just started his next F1 work – covering the middle east, so I should be able to talk about that next time).

Keeping on the Spiral based theme of drawings, Ben has added New York City to his collection.  If ever there was a city to lend itself to this type of picture, New York has to be it. With this piece it’s like you are looking up at the amazing architecture as the enormity of the place overwhelms and puts you in a spin!

He has also done a Bath Spiral as we have been finding ourselves down that neck of the woods recently and will be visiting again in May.

Ben has found that it doesn’t take an age for him to draw a football/rugby ground so he has managed to squeeze in a few new ones in since my last newsletter.  The Rec, Kingsholm, Valley Parade, Pride Park, MKM Stadium and the John Smith’s Stadium have been done for Bath Rugby, Gloucester Rugby, Bradford City, Derby County, Hull City, Hull FC, Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants’ fans as well as all the grounds of the Rugby Home Nations – Twickenham, Principality, Murrayfield and Aviva Stadiums.

On top of that he has done Wimbledon in time for the strawberries and cream this summer! Busy boy!
