The Pubs of Darlington (2022)
The Pubs of Darlington, hand drawn by Ben Staves in an intriguing spiral style design!
Daniel Defoe visited Darlington in the 18th Century and wrote that the town “had nothing remarkable but dirt”. Well we think that’s a little bit harsh so decided to draw a spiral picture emphasising it’s most notable buildings and especially it’s drinking dens!
Also on the picture, and in acknowledgment of Darlington being at the end of the world’s first permanent steam locomotive railway line, is the life-size brick sculpture of a steaming locomotive.
Perfect for anyone who holds Darlington close to their hearts as a Christmas, birthday or possibly wedding anniversary present.
Please note that a frame is not included. All our prints include a mountboard border and a backboard. This is sealed in a protective sleeve and delivered flat, ready to frame. International orders will be sent rolled in a poster tube without a mountboard border.
All our prints are sized to fit standard sized frames. Please feel free to get in touch at info@stavesart.com if you have any questions about the artwork or framing options!
