Artwork for your World. Hand drawn maps of towns, cities and sporting worlds by Ben Staves.
StavesArt is a family business that was established in May 2017. The founder Ben, a former architecture student, started designing maps of towns and cities in an unusual 3D globe style, selling prints at local markets in Newcastle. Since then, he has gone on to create a collection of over 80 different designs of cities around the world plus a selection of large scale sporting maps, highlighting famous sporting venues from around the UK and Europe.
Ben has won a number of awards for his artwork including The Young Traders Market regional finals in 2021 and 2022 plus the National Final in 2023. He has also had his work published in the Liverpool Art Book in 2019.
Our Accreditations
The National Market Traders Federation (NMTF) is an organisation that represents the interests of market and street traders, event retailers, and mobile caterers in the United Kingdom. Established in 1899, it is one of the oldest trade associations in the country. StavesArt became a member of the NMTF and has achieved recognition by winning several of their competitions, including the North East Regional Final.
Being a member of the NMTF provides our team with a platform to connect with other traders and to stay up-to-date with the latest industry news and regulations. It also offers various benefits such as access to legal and insurance advice, training opportunities, and discounted rates for services such as card payment processing. By being a member of the NMTF and winning competitions, StavesArt have established ourselves as a respected and successful business within the market trader community.

In the last couple of years, StavesArt has expanded into creating artwork that highlights sporting arenas across the UK and beyond. In these pieces, architecture, art and geography are combined to create stunning pieces of wall art.
Our artwork prints are incredibly popular at in-person events, where people can see them up close and appreciate the level of detail and artistry that goes into each map and design. The prints are made using high-quality paper and inks and StavesArt's focus on creating well produced, unique and visually stunning artwork has made them a popular choice for anyone looking to add some beauty to their home or office.

Key Team Members
StavesArt's team is made up of family members who have all played a crucial role in the success of the business. Ben’s dad, Tim, has become the "chief salesman" and is a regular presence behind the stall at markets and festivals. Uncle Nick helps to handle online postal orders, keeps on top of stock, and runs the stall in York each week. Fiona, an old family friend (went to the same school as Ben), joined the team in the summer of 2022 and is responsible for fulfilling our on line orders.
