The John Smith Stadium - Huddersfield Giants (2025)
Under the floodlights at the home of Rugby League - Huddersfield! This is the John Smith Stadium, home of the Giants, hand drawn by Yorkshire artist Ben Staves.
Kirklees Stadium, currently known as the John Smith’s Stadium, has been the home of Huddersfield Giants since 1994 when the team moved from the old Leeds Road Ground where they had played for a couple of years since leaving Fartown, the historical home of the club. As any fan will tell you, Huddersfield were the founder members of the Northern Rugby Football Union, the original name of the world’s best sport, Rugby League!
The new ground was the setting for Ryan Hall’s try for Leeds which prevented Wigan winning the Super league in 2015. However, this is a magnificent picture for supporters of the Giants and, despite being tempted, that try is not depicted in the picture! The Giants are however, depicted playing the Rhinos and are attacking the Leeds line!
This would make a great present for any Giants fan young or old for a birthday, Christmas or any special occasion (such as a win against Leeds).
